Technology- 1 With regard to the mold temperature, perform molding at between 130 and 150℃ in general, and make it so that there is a 10-15℃ difference of temperature between the product side and the other side while setting the product side higher.
- 2 The setting time should usually be set at 1 minute/mm. However, it needs to be adjusted according to the product’s shape and temperature.
- 3 The material’s charge varies depending on the product’s shape. However, when it is necessary to charge 70 to 80% of the product’s area in pyramid form with the mid-section being thickened as is usually the case, do not cut the sheet but fold it and then charge instead.
- 4 The molding pressure varies depending on the product’s size, shape, and thickness. However, usually set the gauge for the molding pressure to become 50-100㎏/㎠.
- 5 The raw material input is calculated by multiplying the product’s volume by the material’s specific gravity. However, perform actual molding based on the calculated value and then determine an appropriate input afterwards.
- 6 As the mold clamping speed is influenced by the material’s fluidity and rigidity, it must vary depending on the product. Usually, the mold clamping speed must be within the following ranges:
* High-speed: 150-200㎜/sec * Mid-speed: 5-20 ㎜/sec * Slow-speed: 0.5-5㎜/sec - 7 When doing initial product molding work or doing work after leaving the mold unattended for a long period of time, wipe the mold’s surface clean with a dry cloth and spread fluoric and paraffinic external release agents over the mold’s surface in order to prevent contamination and mismolding.
- 8 To remove burrs or bits of the material left on the mold surface after molding, use tools made of softer material than the mold such as wooden, copper, and aluminum spatulas.
