SMC (Sheet Molding Compound)
SMC is a thermosetting composite molding material in sheet form, created by impregnating glass fiber stiffener into a resin compound of unsaturated polyester resin and additives that include low profile agents, lubricants, and fillers and then increasing the viscosity of the resin compound using chemicals.
Phenol SMC is used for special purposes, particularly in the defense industrial sector.

Characteristics
- 1) They have excellent heat resistance and ablation resistance.
- 2) Created by impregnating phenol resin that has good thermal properties into a CSM (Continuous Strand glass MAT), these SMC products can withstand material degradation and vibration pressure caused by flames created when a guided missile is launched.
- 3) They can be molded through autoclave molding and press molding.
